Car renting: the companies that hire cars, motorcycles and scooters are both international and local and  you can find many of them on the whole territory of the island.
You can find them at the airport, as it is usual, in large cities such as Palma, but also in smaller cities and villages.
To rent a mean it is necessary to be 21 years old and have a license for at least one year; it is also necessary to leave a credit card, even if some smaller companies also accept cash deposits.

BICICLETTE

The inhabitants of Mallorca love to move by bicycle and for this reason there are many bicycle paths and facilities for cyclists: it is important to be a little trained to be able to ride on a hilly territory.
In Palma, in the main tourist office, you will find a special guide, "Guia del ciclista" published only in Spanish and where are given all the cycle itineraries with the respective distances and difficulty levels.
These routes, that reach 320 kilometres of length are specifically made to avoid the busy streets and to view the natural scenery of the island.
The costs of bike hire range from 5 to 8 euros per day for a normal bicycle and there is a 30% surcharge for a mountain bike; weekly rates are around 27 and 40 euros.
There are many bicycles rental agencies and it is possible to find them in every place of Mallorca.
