In Mallorca there are many restaurants and taverns: the best known are Sineu Inca and Petra.
In these restaurants you can find the typical Majorcan style dishes.
The Spanish cuisine is considered as a varied cuisine, rich and some of its specialities are very seasoned. Most of the dishes are based on fish, especially in the islands but never miss some vegetables, fruit, legumes, meat and rice.
There are many different specialties and among the most known we would like to remember the'' paellà', a dish based on rice with saffron rice, pork, fish, seafood, chicken and vegetables as peppers and onions; the Gazpacho is a vegetables soup to eat cold; the Butifarra is a Cataluña spicy sausage to serve with beans and the Zarzuela is a fish soup with fish and slices of toasted bread.
The kitchen in the hotels is for the most international so, it can meet the tastes of all the nationalities. The typical Balearic dishes are, instead, of Cataluña derivation so they are a little more spicy. A ritual to respect is that of tapas, the greedy appetizers that accompany the aperitif before dinner.
