CALA RAJADA

Cala Rajada is a lively tourist location that is situated on the southern side of a small promontory, in the north-east corner of Mallorca.
This dynamic city, which was once a simple fishermen village, is now full of cafès, bars, hotels and, in general, you can find all the tourist facilities you need.
Therefore, about the fishermen village, very little is left, even for what concerns the boats that populate the harbour in the Rajada creek: once upon a time a lot of vessels and small wooden boats were here, now it houses for the most yachts and tourist boats.
The town, however, is very pleasant and clean, very well maintained and full of buildings born just few decades ago (even here the tourist boom of the 1960s has had its consequences!), and it is a pleasure to walk around its small and clean streets or relax at the sea.
If you leave the town, you can find a very different landscape, that is mainly characterized by delightful beaches and a mostly rocky coast, which protects the shore with its low wooded peaks.
The most famous and crowded beaches in the area are: Platja Son Moll, Cala Gat, Platja Cala Agulla.
In general, since the last appointed beach (Cala Agulla) you can continue through a series of paths to arrive to other bays: the more you go further, the more you will find deserted and immaculated lidi.
