The browsers and of fishermen patron saint is thanked with parades and the blessing of the boats, especially in La Savina and in Ibiza town where the statue of the Virgin of Carmen is removed from the Church by the fishermen and placed on a boat and carried in ceremony in the port to ask for protection from the sea in the following year.

Santa Maria de las Neus

It is the celebration that takes place in the Ibiza Cathedral.

San Ciriaco Holiday
8th August
A small cerimony in Dalt Vila to commemorate the conquest in 1235  and there is a cucumber fight in Es Soto among the walls.

Dia de San Bartomeu
24th August
It is a huge pyrotechnics show followed with a concert and dances in Sant Antoni.

December
Wine Festival
During the first December week in San Mateu there is a social event with a wine tasting in glasses Porros and you can even taste the “sobrassada” and “butifarra” (that means sausage).

New Year’s Eve
Big parties in all the Ibiza clubs and it is traditionally celebrated by eating 12 graves to be eaten when the clock strike unti midnight.
