Talamanca beach is 2 km north to Ibiza town and you can get there on foot walking through New harbour and through all the Passeig de Juan Carlos I: the walk, even if it is pleasant and not too hard, it is quite long, more or less 30 minutes.
Once arrived, you are in front of a wide sandy bay where the development and the urbanization have been carefully limited to preserve this wonderful landscape.
The result is that the Talamanca beach, despite its proximity to the city, it is rarely overcrowded, therefore representing a true oasis of peace in the lively Ibiza. However, despite the control on buildings, you can find hotels and tourist structures, confined to the south and north margins of the zone, which, as already stressed, it has remained almost untouched.
In the central part of Talamanca, practically along the beach, you can find some bars and excellent restaurants where you can eat excellent fish, almost in the seaside. Perhaps for its tranquillity and for its position slightly isolated, the beach of Talamanca is the preferred by the families because ideal for children.
The last curiosity is that just behind the northern part of the beach there is a district that is possible to define astonishing, Can pep Simò: the particularity of the suburb is the extravagance of his modern villas, all designed by the Catalan Josep Lluis Sert.
