Cala Mastella is 3 kilometres north of Cala Llenya; as most of the coastal roads of the island, even that one that leads to Cala Mastella it is deliciously picturesque, as it crosses an idyllic valley that descends to the river bank.
The Cala Mastella bay, although it is very small and compact, it is one of the places you shouldn’t miss: the enchanting beach is located in a deep inlet, where the vegetation, mostly formed by pine trees, arrives almost inside the water that assumes a beautiful emerald color thanks to the thick vegetation that is reflected.
Being a very protected creek, the sea always quiet and therefore ideal for long relaxing swims; the only thing to which it must be pay attention to are the sea urchins, which are very close to the shore.
Despite the bay has remained fairly uncontaminated, it is not quite wild: from May to September it is open a small kiosk where it is possible to rent beach cots and cold beverages from the house (taste the le monade juice).
Furthermore, it is possible to eat excellent fish in the restaurant El Bigotes, very close to the beach, only 50 metres to the north of the bay.
